Welcome to Critique Chronicles Perspectives Book Review (the "Site"). By accessing this website or purchasing our services (including Book Reviews, Press Release, Social Media Management, and Podcast Features), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.​

1. Description of Services

Critique Chronicles Perspectives provides marketing and editorial service for authors and publishers. We display these services on our Site for informational purposes. Since our Site does not feature an automated checkout or user account system, all service agreements are finalized via direct communication (email, invoice, or contract).

2. No Guarantees of Sales or Results

This is the most important section of our agreement. While we use professional standards and industry-best practices to increase the visibility of your work, we cannot and do not guarantee specific results. 

  • Book Sales: We cannot guarantee that our reviews, press releases, or social media campaigns will result in a specific number of book sales, downloads, or bestseller status. Market response is unpredictable.

  • Media Pickup: For Press Release, we guarantee distribution to our network, but we cannot force third-party journalists or news outlets to cover your story. 

  • Virality: We cannot guarantee that social media content will go "viral."

By purchasing our services, you acknowledge that you are paying for the execution of the service (e.g., the writing of the release, the recording of the podcast, the time spent reviewing), not a guaranteed financial outcome.

3. Editorial Independence (Book Reviews)

If you purchase a Professional Book Review package: 

  • Honesty: You are paying for the reviewer's time and expertise, not a positive rating. We maintain strict editorial independence. If a book has flaws, they will be noted in the review.

  • Right to Decline: We reserve the right to decline any manuscript that contains hate speech, illegal content, or content that violates our ethical standards. If we decline a book after payment but before the work has begun, a full refund will be issued.

4. Payments and Refunds

  • Payment: Payment for services is due as specified in your invoice. Work will not commence until payment is received.

  • Refunds: 

    • Services Not Yet Started: If you cancel before we have begun work (e.g., before the reviewer reads the book or before the press release is drafted), you are eligible for a refund, minus any processing fees.​

    • Services In Progress/Completed: Due to the creative and labor-intensive nature of our work, no refunds will be issued once the work has commenced (e.g., the review has been written, the podcast recorded, or the press release distributed), regardless of your satisfaction with the subjective opinion or marketing results.

5. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: The text, graphics, logos, and design of this Site are the Property of Critique Chronicles Perspectives and are protected by copyright laws.

  • Your Content: You retain full ownership of your book and manuscript. By submitting your materials to us, you grant us a non-exclusive, worlwide license to use excerpts, cover art, and author images for the purpose of creating your review, press release, or promotional materials.

  • The Final Product: 

    • Reviews: We retain the copyright to the text of the book review. You are granted a license to use, qoute, and republish the review for marketing purposes (e.g., on your book cover or Amazon page).​

    • Podcasts: We retain ownership of the podcast recording. You are encouraged to share the link.

6. User Conduct

When using our Site or communicating with our team, you agree not to: 

  • Use abusive or harassing language. 

  • Submit false or misleading information regarding your book or identity.

  • Attempt  to compromise the security of the Site.

We serve the right to refuse service to any client who engages in abusive behavior toward our staff.

7. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites (such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or news outlets. We are not responsible for the content or practices of these sites. If you click a link and purchase a product (e.g., a book), we may not receive an affiliate commission, but this does not affect the price you pay.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Critique Chronicl;es Perspectives Book Review shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from: 

  • Your use of the Site or services.

  • Errors or inaccuracies in content.

  • Any unauthorized access to our servers.

  • The failure of a book to achieve commercial success.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us for the specific service in dispute.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upong posting to the Site. Your continued use of the Site or our services constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
